Carlos Zambrano:ATLANTA - Chicago Cubs manager Mike Quade said pitcher Carlos Zambrano cleaned out his locker and "went" on the team, after he had five homers in 10-4 defeat Friday night against the Atlanta Braves.
The Mini-Review: Carlos Zambrano was last night, after he twice throw at Chipper Jones hit in "retaliation" for the Braves back-to-back home runs away from him (and for an earlier Jones homer) ejected. After his ejection, Zambrano packed his locker and left the ballpark before the game was over, and told the people in the clubhouse, he was "retired." Shortly afterwards, said Cubs' GM Jim Hendry that the Cubs will honor and accept his wishes Z retired.
